Ascension Seton Medical Center OR Renovation

Austin, TX Healthcare

Temporary Wall Systems supported The Beck Group during an operating room renovation at Ascension Seton Medical Center. Because this project required ICRA Class V infection control, the containment approach needed to support a highly controlled construction environment in an active healthcare setting.

Our team installed both wall containment and an anteroom to help separate the renovation area from adjacent hospital spaces during construction. All work required extensive PPE, including bunny suits, to help prevent patient exposure to contaminants while the project moved forward. A clear panel was also built into the hallway-facing wall so an existing control panel remained visible to medical staff throughout the renovation.

In operating room projects, containment has to do more than close off the workspace. It needs to support infection control planning, maintain visibility where needed, and help the facility continue functioning safely during construction. This project reflects the level of detail and adaptability required in complex hospital renovations.
