Temporary Wall Systems Spokane partnered with KHI and Stryker to provide Level V ICRA-compliant containment for day surgery and sterile processing area (SPA) room upgrades at Kootenai Health. The project included renovations in five operating rooms over a three-week period and required construction to take place without disrupting the hospital's ongoing surgical operations.
To support the phased renovation, TWS installed modular hard wall containment with dedicated anterooms, double HEPA-filtered negative air machines, and digital differential air pressure monitors. Installations were completed on Fridays, allowing renovation work to proceed over the weekend, and the containment systems were removed on Sundays so each operating room could be returned to service as scheduled. This phased approach minimized operational disruption while maintaining the stringent infection prevention requirements expected in an active surgical environment.
