Reinforced Temporary Containment Supports Patient Room Door Replacement

Spokane, WA Healthcare

Temporary Wall Systems Spokane partnered with the general contractor and facility staff to support a patient room door replacement project within the Adult Behavioral Health Unit at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center. Because patient safety and unit operations needed to be maintained throughout construction, the project required a reinforced modular containment solution that could be installed, removed, and reconfigured multiple times as work progressed from room to room over a two-week period.

TWS installed a reinforced modular hard wall containment system equipped with anti-ligature hardware to securely isolate each active work area while maintaining safe access throughout the occupied behavioral health unit. The reconfigurable design allowed construction teams to replace patient room doors in phases without disrupting the entire corridor, supporting an organized workflow while maintaining separation between renovation activities and occupied patient spaces.
