FAA Control Room Containment

Auburn, WA Government

Temporary Wall Systems Puget Sound completed the first of six planned containment phases at an FAA control room in Auburn, Washington. The project supported critical maintenance and equipment upgrades while allowing air traffic operations to continue without interruption.

For the first phase, the TWS Puget Sound team installed 68 linear feet of 13-foot-tall freestanding containment wall, along with one double door and one sliding door. The system created a secure separation between the active control room and the construction area while helping minimize the movement of dust and reduce noise from the work.

Careful planning and precise installation allowed maintenance activities to proceed without disrupting the personnel responsible for safely managing air traffic. As work progresses, the modular containment system can support the facility’s phased construction needs while helping essential operations continue safely.
