TWS Connect Walls Vs. Core Walls: Which is right for you?

As you already know, Temporary Wall Systems offers a modular containment solution for a wide range of industries. Even within these industries, organizations have unique needs.

Whether your priorities are aesthetics or air quality, the TWS Connect and Core collections can cover them. Here’s a complete breakdown of which is right for you.

Questions to ask when choosing Connect walls vs. Core walls

The answers to the following questions will help identify the right product for your application.

How high should the walls go?

Look into the Connect range if your modular wall should exceed 10 feet. Their lightweight construction is meant for greater heights. You can also stack them in different orientations to get the ideal measurements.

Connect walls can also be combined with Core walls to build a higher structure. So, if you like the more substantial weight and blockage of our classic Core walls and just want to scale up, we can create a hybrid solution.

Do you need to meet ICRA Class IV infection control standards?

We recommend the Core collection for applications where you must meet infection control risk assessment standards. They can be pressure-fitted together to provide greater protection against noise, dust, and other contaminants.

Read our guide for more info on ICRA barriers.

Do you want graphics displayed on the walls?

Both Core and Connect can accommodate graphics, with some key differences. Connect walls are frameless and can come together to present large, high-quality images.

Core walls feature frames but can be fitted with branded wraps printed with colors and logos.

Is dust control a concern?

All of our modular walls meet OSHA dust control standards. However, the Core collection can create negative air pressure rooms and offer a tighter seal overall.

Retail applications

  • Core walls dampen the noise of construction for uninterrupted operations
  • Connect walls can be put up freestanding and display advertisements

Offices and commercial buildings

  • Core walls create new private conference areas and workspaces, plus sustain productivity during renovation.
  • Connect walls make visually appealing new spaces for meetings, team building, reception areas, and more.

Schools and universities

  • Core modular walls can create new classrooms and offices as well as block off work zone hazards.
  • Connect temporary walls help direct foot traffic while displaying stunning graphics that strengthen school spirit.

Airports and public transport

  • Core walls clear a safe path for busy commuters during maintenance and construction.
  • Connect walls create valuable floor-to-ceiling advertising space in heavily traveled areas.

Hospitality and events

  • Core walls create new, standalone spaces for storage, staff, and more during hotel renovation.
  • Connect offers greater flexibility to create custom exhibits, conference, and event spaces.

The Core Collection: Your go-to healthcare solution

Choose Core modular walls for laboratories, clean rooms, and all healthcare renovations. They’re ICRA-compliant and help mitigate the spread of airborne contaminants.
